How to Use Weather Hi-Def Radar on Apple Watch
- Open the Weather Hi-Def Radar app on your Apple Watch.
- Tap the list icon at the top of the screen
- Select any saved location – Note: locations must be saved within the iPhone application
- Scroll down to view all available weather information for the selected location
You can easily navigate between saved locations to get the weather details that matter most, right from your wrist.
How to Add Complications to Your Watch Face
Weather Hi-Def Radar supports 4 complications you can add to your watch face:
- Temperature – Displays the current temperature along with the day's high and low range.
- Wind – Shows wind speed in mph and current wind direction.
- Precipitation – Shows the percentage chance of rain.
- Cloud Cover – Displays the current cloud cover percentage.
To add a complication:
- Open the Watch app on your paired iPhone.
- Tap My Watch, select the watch face to be edited, then scroll down to Complications.
- Tap the complication slot you want to customize on your chosen watch face.
- Find and select Weather Hi-Def Radar from the list, then choose the specific complication (Temperature, Wind, Precipitation, or Cloud Cover).
- Save – the complication will now appear on your watch face for quick access.
Widgets
The Apple Watch widget works similarly to the medium-size widget on your main device but is optimized for your wrist. It displays key weather information at a glance and shows the next 5 hours of hourly data, so users can quickly check upcoming conditions without opening the app.
To add the widget:
- Scroll up with the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch
- Select Edit then tap the '+' button
- Find and select Weather Hi-Def Radar from the list, then tap the widget to add it to your watch
- Save – the widget will now appear when scrolling up with the Digital Crown
