Accessing Past, All, & Future Radar
Weather Hi-Def Radar includes three radar animation modes to help you track weather conditions over time. By default, the radar opens in Past Radar, allowing you to view recent weather activity immediately.
Plus feature: If you'd like to view a broader timeline or forecasted conditions, you can switch to ALL Radar or Future Radar directly from the radar screen.
How to Access Past/All/Future Radar
- Open Weather Hi-Def Radar
- Tap the Layers button in the bottom navigation bar.
- Radar Layer
- Select the Radar Layer
- Locate the Past radar button
- Look for the Past button with the circular arrows on the radar controls.
- Tap the Play button to view the past radar animation.
- Switch to Past/All/Future Radar
- Tap the circular arrows to cycle through the available radar modes.
- Continue tapping until your preferred radar appears.
- Tap the Play button for your preferred radar animation.
Radar Modes
- Past Radar
Displays previously recorded radar activity, allowing you to see where precipitation has already occurred and how weather conditions have moved over time. This mode is available to all users. - ALL Radar
Combines both past and forecast radar data into a continuous animation, providing a complete view of weather movement from recent activity through projected conditions. This is a Premium feature. - Future Radar
Displays forecast radar data, helping you anticipate upcoming weather conditions and the expected movement of precipitation. This is a Premium feature.
